I’m a father, musician, facilitator, and web-designer for community leaders.
I live in my home town of Ithaca, New York, the traditional territory of the Gayogohó:no (Cayuga) people. In 2018 I founded Maple Creative, a website design agency that helps educators create a website that attracts students and grows their impact.
Here’s my current problem/solution statement 😉
Problem: Too often the wisest among us do not have the platform to be heard. I’m here to share the skills, knowledge, and mindsets to help educators reach people who could benefit from their wisdom.
Solution: To do this I publish a free email newsletter, speak at events, teach workshops, and offer 1:1 marketing and website consulting. Through Maple Creative I offer website design and care services.
I live by the motto, *always a problem always a solution* – and believe design is a tool anyone can use to shape their future, and the future of their community. This is why I believe in educators.

I’m passion about the operations side of things, and how online businesses work (Values, Goals, Projects, Actions, Workflows, Software, Docs, I love streamlining and relating all of these things with each other).
Life and Biz Systems, supported by Notion Mastery, a program that gives me so many epiphanies I haven’t had time to write a proper review. Let’s just say that all the lists I’ve been managing for years have now been woven together like an intricate ecosystem – and that I have insight and alignment between my values, goals, activities, projects, actions, relationships, etc... and this insight is causing all kinds of amazing things to happen.
Community Design, which I’ve been studying intentionally now for a couple of years – but turns out it’s been a passion and focus of mine since I organized DIY house-shows as a teenager. I LOVE creating cozy spaces, helping people feel welcome, and weaving connections. Right now I’m exploring this further, and how it relates to my business goals in the Build A Community Business community with tatfig.com
